Saint Paul’s School, an independent K–8 in Clearwater, has long been recognized for nurturing the whole child through a warm, personalized approach to education. When they set out to create a new program for dyslexic thinkers, they quickly realized their existing brand no longer reflected the caliber or character of their work. What began as a project to brand one program evolved into a school-wide transformation.

The Challenge

The school’s visual identity had become outdated and difficult to use, creating a disconnect between their progressive, student-centered philosophy and how they were perceived externally. Materials lacked cohesion, staff avoided using the logo, and there was no flexible system to support new programs or initiatives. The brand wasn’t telling the same powerful story the school itself was living every day.

We began by helping Saint Paul’s name and brand its new program for dyslexic thinkers. Through in-depth discovery and creative exploration, we uncovered the essence of the program — a rhythmic, student-centered approach that builds confidence and celebrates individuality. The chosen name, Cadence, reflected that spirit beautifully. Its bold, empowering identity became both a visual and emotional representation of the program’s purpose, signaling a modern and inclusive approach to learning.

As the work progressed, it became clear the school’s brand needed to evolve. The existing logo and system were too rigid to support future initiatives, so we guided Saint Paul’s through a refresh that simplified their mark, refined their palette, and introduced a cohesive visual framework. We built scalable assets, logo variations, and usage guidelines — creating a flexible system that could grow with the school. What began as a single program identity became a future-ready brand system for the entire institution.
