Oak Hill School
Transforming a strategic plan into an engaging visual experience.
Oak Hill School, a values-driven PK–8 independent school in Eugene, Oregon, had just completed a forward-thinking strategic plan in partnership with ISA. The plan outlined key priorities for the school’s future but lacked an engaging way to share the vision with its broader community. We were brought in to turn the plan into an inspiring, accessible story everyone could see and support.
The Challenge
While the strategic plan was rich with ideas and direction, it existed only as an internal document. Without visual or digital materials, it was difficult for teachers, families, and donors to understand or rally behind it. The excitement built during the planning process risked fading without a clear, shareable platform to communicate the school’s next chapter.
Our Solution
To help Oak Hill bring its strategic plan to life, we took a story-first, design-driven approach that connected the ideas behind the plan with the emotions of its community. We began with discovery and concept development to clarify tone, style, and audience — aiming to translate the plan’s optimism into something tangible. Building on the school’s existing brand, we created a visual concept that felt warm, open, and forward-looking, aligning with Oak Hill’s commitment to experiential learning and innovation.
From there, we designed a strategic plan brochure that guided readers through the school’s mission, vision, and goals in an engaging way. We complemented it with a dynamic one-page microsite, making the plan easy to share online. Both carried consistent visual language — thoughtful typography, clear hierarchy, and imagery reflecting Oak Hill’s vibrant community. The result was a communication package that turned an internal document into a powerful story everyone could see, feel, and champion.
The Outcome
The strategic plan became a tangible story that reignited community enthusiasm. With a beautifully branded brochure and microsite, Oak Hill’s leadership gained renewed energy and pride in presenting their vision. The school now has a powerful communication platform that unites stakeholders, reinforces its mission, and showcases its commitment to future-ready education.
