Does It Have to Be One or the Other?
Why is it that we get stuck in a fallacy of dualistic thinking? This is the type of binary thinking that requires a clear singular position, such as identity (progressive or traditional) or academics (rigor or relaxed). These binary choices make us believe that we have to be in either one camp or the other. And, they create an oppositional view of the alternate choice. Isn’t it possible that an organization could actually be a little bit of both, a blended solution to an issue?
