Village of Promise

I spent a full day today working with two remarkable ladies – Bobbie Bradley and Gloria Batts – launching the strategic planning process for a non-profit called Village of Promise. This extraordinary project seeks to bring the incredible model of social system support developed by Geoffrey Canada at the Harlem Children’s Zone to eradicate systemic poverty in Huntsville, Alabama. We completed seven one hour interviews with key community leaders today, as well as had our first steering committee meeting. Our team is shown here.
