The Year So Far: Places, Projects, and People That Matter

If we had to sum up this year so far, it would be interesting. Not in the polite, surface-level way—but in the deep, energizing, keep-you-on-your-toes kind of way.

We’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of organizations this year—nonprofits, startups, cultural institutions, and community-based programs. From helping Taktika Padel scale its presence globally, to partnering with the Mississippi Children’s Museum, to supporting MSCL House—a recovery program for men in Hailey, Idaho—each project brought a different lens, and a different kind of impact. Of course, we’ve also continued our deep work with independent schools across the country—and beyond—each with its own culture, context, and aspirations.

Here’s a glimpse at the organizations we’ve had the chance to work with so far this year:

  • Jackson Prep (MS)
  • Telluride Mountain School (CO)
  • Maret School (DC)
  • Oak Hill School (OR)
  • St. Margaret’s Episcopal School (CA)
  • Lycée international de Calgary (AB)
  • University of Pikeville (KY)
  • Sandia Preparatory School (NM)
  • Polytechnic School (CA)
  • La Pietra – Hawai‘i School for Girls (HI)
  • St. Paul’s School (FL)
  • Mississippi Children’s Museum (MS)
  • St. Mary’s Academy (OR)
  • MSCL House (ID)
  • Taktika Padel (Global)

And all of this work has taken us far and wide—from the Telluride mountains to the beaches of O‘ahu, from Calgary and Miami to Santiago de Chile. Along the way: a lot of flights, a lot of coffee, and even more big ideas. Every place brings its own rhythm and perspective, reminding us that context matters just as much as strategy.

But more than anything, this year has been about people. A wise man once told me (thank you, Ian) that everything is about relationships. And he’s right.

It’s the relationship you build with the work itself. The connection you make to the culture and context of each place. And most importantly, the relationships you form with the people you meet—clients, students, board members, community leaders, families.

If you’re curious and open, those people will teach you something every single time.

For the schools and organizations we work with, this is the heart of the matter. Strategy, planning, growth—it’s all meaningless if you’re not thinking deeply about your relationships. With your work. With your community. With your people.

We’re grateful for another year of meaningful, curious, and thoughtful partnership. And we’re just getting started.
