Ian Joins USTA Coaching National Board

We’re excited to share that Ian Symmonds has been appointed to the USTA Coaching National Board, a leadership group guiding the future of tennis coaching in the United States. The board supports the USTA Coaching initiative, a platform designed to empower coaches at every level—from parents to pros—with the tools, training, and community to create meaningful tennis experiences.

With a mission to educate and serve coaches in fostering lifelong participation, excellence, and well-being through tennis, USTA Coaching is committed to building an inclusive, high-impact coaching culture. And it’s a mission that resonates deeply with us.

At ISA, we’ve spent the past few years deepening our work in racket sports, partnering with organizations like Portland Tennis and Education, the San Diego Youth Tennis Foundation and Barnes Tennis Center, and Taktika Padel. From strategic planning to brand positioning, we’ve helped shape the future of these organizations and advance access, equity, and excellence in the sport.

Ian’s appointment reflects not just his personal commitment to tennis and education, but also ISA’s broader investment in national-level strategy around growing participation and engagement in racket sports. We’re honored to support this movement, and ready to serve.
