Ian to Speak at SAIS Annual Conference

Returning from a two year hiatus from speaking after six consecutive years, I am returning to speak at the Annual Conference of the Southern Association of Independent Schools.  The conference this year is hosted in Atlanta at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead on October 23-24th.  Based upon the early schedule, the sessions look very strong.

The most significant aspect of this conference is that we will complete three year Ten Trend series.  Launched in October 2009 at the SAIS Annual Conference, ISA has been documenting the major trends and forces we believe are impacting the private education industry.  Our topics have run the gammut, including pricing, relevancy of programs, online education, technology, and the changing church and poiitical climate, to name a few.  Trends Seven, Eight, Nine, and Ten of the series will all be provided as new content to the series and attendees to the conference will be the first that have an opportunity to access this content.

In addition, I will also highlight summer 2010 research that we completed on why parents choose private schools.  After surveying over 20,000 families over the past eight years, we aggregated our research and authored a white paper that is full of helpful information on the decision set associated with selecting private schools.  Attendees to this session will also receive this content.

Both sessions are on Monday, October 24th.  I am looking forward to greeting some new colleagues and old friends at SAIS in Atlanta.
