Forest Ridge School Meets the Challenge – and More!

Congratulations to ISA client Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart (Bellevue, WA) for its overwhelming success in meeting a $5 million challenge from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The Gates Foundation made a generous gift of $5m to this independent Catholic school for girls in grades 5-12 in 2009, and pledged an additional $5m if Forest Ridge could secure that amount in gifts and pledges by December 31, 2010. Thanks to 100% participation from the Board of Trustees and faculty/staff, and 94% participation from parents, Forest Ridge raised over $6m in endowed funds to support financial assistance for students. ISA provided fundraising counsel to Forest Ridge, having previously assisted the school with both a marketing plan and five-year strategic plan.
